Black Economic Empowerment(BEE)
The objective of this policy document to ensure that SSB Security and cleaning services adhere to all aspects relating Black Economic Empowerment and its stipulated legislation as governed by South African Law. It also needs to ensure that the company adopts Black Empowerment in uniformity and in its true sense.
This policy document covers all aspects within SSB Security and cleaning services from general hygiene controllers, team leaders, supervisors and managers.
SSB Security and cleaning service’s black economic policy will cater for previously disadvantaged individuals who were marginalized by the previous government’s policies and legislations of the country prior to 1994.
PREVIOUSLY/ HISTORICALLY DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUALS (P/HDI)
PDI individuals are categorized in order of precedence as follows with SSB Security and Cleaning services situation:
Colored Female/ Colored Male
Indian Female/ Indian Male
White Female/ White Male
Disabled Female/ Disabled Male
Sekushubile Security Services employs 98% of black individuals of which 70% are black Male. Constant observations and monitoring of all employees are maintained via practical and theoretical means.
A database is maintained and updated whereby individuals are identified individuals are provided with bursaries to study via Damelin college and other higher learning institutions. And it might come as a surprise that two of our managers started as cleaners.
Each individual who is identified via the various structures are provided with a mentor and the mentorship structure is as follows:
